Capital-Image is delighted to have won its fourth and fifth prizes in public relations this year - both Silver Leaf Awards from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) for work done for Kijiji Canada. One award is in the media relations category and the other in the customer relations category.
The idea behind the IABC’s award-winning campaign was to create and distribute the very first Second Hand Economy Index in Canada. To do this, a science-based study was essential on the impact of second-hand goods on Canadians - a market dominated largely by Kijiji Canada with over 6.5 million classifieds posted daily. The birth of this study coincided with the 10th anniversary of Kijiji Canada.
“Capital-Image is very proud that its leading work with Kijiji Canada has been recognized with these prestigious Silver Leaf awards from the IABC,” said Yvon Desautels, Founder and President of Capital-Image. “The Second Hand Economy Index has proven to be an excellent vehicle to generate media interest about a portion of our country's economy which is rarely discussed, but which has a big impact. for Canadians. The campaign proved that Kijiji Canada has a legitimate place as a key player in this economic activity.”
These two new national awards come on top of the three others awarded this year by the Society of Professional Public Relations of Quebec, the Canadian Society of Public Relations and the Association of Collaborative Communication and Marketing Professionals. with Infopresse. The initial Second Hand Economy Index campaign far exceeded its targets and has now become an annual event for Kijiji Canada. The third edition of the campaign will be launched in March 2017.
