Montreal, QC, September 24, 2021 – Capital-Image is proud to announce it was named the winner of the Gold Award for best integrated communications campaign at the annual Awards of Excellence ceremony of the Canadian Public Relations Society held virtually last night from Toronto.

The winning campaign was conducted in the summer of 2020 for Allstate Insurance Company of Canada to promote water safety during the vacation season. It was called “Swimmers in Good Hands” and was aimed at promoting safety around home swimming pools as Quebecers stayed home during their summer vacations, and while juggling working from home, during the first summer of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Capital-Image, winner of a CPRS National Gold Award of Excellence, a campaign conducted for their client Allstate Insurance.

“The team at Capital-Image is thrilled by this recognition by our peers across Canada for the innovative and multi-faceted campaign we conducted with Allstate Canada to help raise water safety awareness in Quebec when use of home swimming pools increased due to the pandemic,” said Silvie Letendre, ARP, FSCRP, President of Capital-Image.

“We are pleased with the recognition of our creative thinking and our team’s work to execute the campaign while everyone was still adapting to the pandemic environment.”

The awareness campaign was conducted in partnership with the Quebec Lifesaving Society and featured media outreach to secure interviews on the importance of water safety immediately prior to and during the Quebec summer holiday period, as well as social media outreach. Messages promoted the need for both vigilance and precautions around the water but also in thinking about other vital ways to protect one’s family, such as with home insurance.

“We were very pleased with the great success of our ‘Swimmers in Good Hands’ campaign and are happy to see the team at Capital-Image recognized with this prestigious award from the Canadian Public Relations Society,” said Jordan Kerbel, Director of External Relations at Allstate Insurance Company of Canada. “Allstate Canada is committed to helping Canadians protect the things in life that are most valuable to them, starting with their own lives and those of their children and other family members. This campaign contributed significantly to that effort.”

The Allstate “Swimmers in Good Hands” campaign was also recognized earlier this year with a Silver Award from the Quebec Society of Public Relations Professionals (Société Québécoise des professionnels en relations publiques, SQPRP) at the group’s annual Gala d’excellence.
